Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby!  I am SO excited to capture their first days and want to make sure that our session is easy for everyone.

The most important factor in capturing quality newborn images is a sleepy baby.  We must get the baby into a deep sleep in order to pose them and to get  the most relaxed and sweet expressions.  In order to do this, it takes a little work and planning on our part.  Below is a list of things you should do the morning of your session to ensure the smoothest and most satisfying session experience.  Please make your best effort to read and follow these suggestions.  I promise it is worth the end result!

~ Keep your baby AWAKE as much as possible for 2 hours before your session.  This may require undressing your baby, tickling their feet, etc……  Please make every reasonable effort to avoid a long nap 2 hours before your start time.

~  Plan on giving your baby a full feeding immediately prior to my arrival.

~ Dress your baby in something that does not need to go over their head (snap up one piece’s are easiest) and avoid layers.  Put the diaper on very loosely so their skin will not have marks.

~ If your baby takes a binky make sure it is handy.
